"Personally I think it is easiest to start off at about 6.5 and slowly move up to until you have reached a speed that fits you liking."

The Software

Kärna did an excellent job with the Boomslang's software drivers. Version 2.0 of the drivers lets you change the sensitivity setting, click speed, scroll rate, and button assignments. All this is done through the nice little control panel that can be easily accessed by double clicking on the icon in the windows taskbar.

Sensitivity options range in .5 increments from an ultra slow 1.0 to an almost uncontrollably high rate of 10.0. Personally I think it is easiest to start off at about 6.5 and slowly move up to until you have reached a speed that fits you liking. In version 2.0 of the software, Kärna added the ability to change both the X and Y-axis sensitivity to different rates, another nice little feature. Best of all, you can change sensitivity on the fly simply by holding down the 4th button and scrolling on the scroll wheel.

There are also options to change the scroll rate of the mouse wheel, and button assignments. Setting the scroll rate is nothing special, nor is assigning unique options to the buttons. Something that is a little unique is that you are able to utilize all 5 buttons for separate instructions this is definitely a plus. You can assign either normal actions or advanced macro combinations to each individual button.
