Fan placement

One key item for keeping your computer cool is the placement of fans. The more spread out the fans are the better the air will flow through your case. Below I have a diagram of a case with 6 fans, and I have positioned them in the proper fashion for best air flow.

*brown indicates computer parts
*black indicates fans
*blue indicates air flow

Benefits of this cooling

Simply cooling your computer can help prevent any number of heat related problems. First, it helps maintain a cool operating temperature, which prevents a majority of crashes, and lockups. Also this opens the doors to safer overclocking which is the basically the main reason for getting more powerful cooling for your computer.
